The Segerstedt Institute has an interdisciplinary approach, which is conducive to gaining a broad and deep understanding of the questions that the institute explores. This interdisciplinary approach also permeates the education provided by the institute, education aimed at both professionals working with questions of racism and violent milieus and at students interested in the topic.

Currently, the Segerstedt Institute cooperates with the Department of Education, Communication and Learning (IPKL) through the course "Tolerans, identitet och extremism" (Tolerance, identity and extremism). The course, which is given in Swedish, takes its point of departure from youth research, critical perspectives on norms and social philosophy, through which didactics is combined with social pedagogy and psychology in order to explore how identities emerge and are developed. The course also focuses on how teaching can promote increased inclusion, critical dialogues and tolerance. For questions about courses, please contact Thomas Johansson (thomas.johansson2@ped.gu.se).

The Segerstedt Institute intends to develop additional courses, as well as a master program.
